Located at the crossroads of two interstate highways, I-270 and I-255, the Village of Pontoon Beach is the ideal place to invest in retail and commercial business. Business Park
Pontoon Beach is home to the premier, master-planned business park in the St. Louis region. The 2,300 acre Gateway Commerce Center's tenants include distribution facilities for Proctor and Gamble, Dial Corporation, and Hershey Foods. The 1.2 million square foot Unilever Home and Personal Care product division's Midwest Distribution Center is the largest logistics/distribution facility in the St. Louis (bi-state) region. Gateway Commerce Center has attracted more than $250 million dollars in new investment resulting in more than 10 million square feet of new construction and created 5,000 employment opportunities.Commercial Property
The Village of Pontoon Beach is working with property owners and real estate developers to open an additional 1,000 acres of commercial property along the Interstate 270 corridor and Illinois Route 111 interchange adjacent to the Gateway Commerce Center. Planned and zoned for commercial and retail development, business sites are available from 1 to more than 500 acres.The 100 acre 270 Commerce Park located in the southwest quadrant of the Interstate 270 and Illinois Route 111 interstate interchange, is in the early phase of development. Adjacent to both 270 and 111, the Village is working closely with the owner/developer to encourage retail and commercial business development; Sites are available from 1 to 50 acres. Mobil Fuel and Convenience Station and Taco Bell are the park's first tenants.
Bel-Air Commerce Park
In addition, the Bel-Air Commerce Park located northwest of the Interstate 270 and Illinois 111 interchange has had its first tenants, Speedco and Blue Beacon are open for business. The Bel-Air Commerce Park has sites available from 1 to 3 acres in the incentive laden Enterprise Zone.Located at the intersection of Interstate 255 and Illinois 162 in southeast Pontoon Beach, the 100 acre 1-255 Business Park offers excellent access to the St. Louis region's interstate highway system. Excel Foods 22,000 square foot distribution facility is the business park's first tenant. Sites are available from 5 to 100 acres and are ideal for small and medium sized businesses.
